About

My name is Tomika Lynn Miles, hairstylist, educator, platform artist, and motivational speaker. I received my formal education and professional training at both Murrell Dobbins Vocational Technical High School and Berean Institute in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. I have 30 years of experience as a licensed hairstylist and educator.

In 2006 I opened my salon, Journey Hair Salon, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The salon specializes in health hair care and maintenance. In addition to owning a successful salon, I’ve also served as chief examiner for the Pennsylvania State Board of Cosmetology. Currently, I am an educator for McBride Research Laboratories; creator of Design Essentials product line.

I continue to develop and sharpen my skills as a hairstylist, educator, and business owner by frequently attending seminars, hands on workshops, and interactive classes. I also provide extensive education and training for my employees. Since opening Journey Hair Salon, my staff and I have welcomed the community by offering various classes free or at low cost. We’ve instructed them on health home hair care and maintenance, natural hair styling, proper use for ceramic tools, and make-up 101. It is my dream and mission to encourage my clients to be the biggest advocate for there Hair Care regiment.
